Formula 1 (F1) 2009 Start By Benny Austria With the start of the 2009 Formula One (F1) Grand Prix, it was surprising to see the new team of Ross Brawn to take the pole positions. Categorically, it is a new team and took over from Honda had left. In all the years, Honda never got to a 1-2 pole position in F1. Another surprise was Mercedes-McLaren unable to make it to the top 10, and last years champion starting at 15th place. Ferrari is in the top 10 but seems to lack the usual fight in their machines. If the Ross Brawn team will be performing as it is, the big question will be, "Why was not Honda able to attain that kind of performance in so many years?" Their excuse for not continuing this year was financial. I don't think that Ross Brawn would be more moneyed than Honda! Talking about sponsors, Brawn is known only in the racing circuits while Honda is well known globally. Is it because Honda is now lacking in technology compared to, say, Toyota or Renault?
