Dogs By Benny Austria Since I was in grade school, I really loved dogs. Even to the point of crying when my brothers showed cruelty to our own dogs. My love for dogs peaked when I learned from our neighbor who owned a well trained German Shepherd, Diana, on how to train dogs. We were lucky to have a half-breed female Spitz mated to a black Spaniel. Their offspring produced a golden brown spaniel we named Princess. I was able to train her almost as well as the German Shepherd of our neighbor. Sad to say though, we had to dispose of her after 2 years because of a foul smell from something that suddenly protruded from her rear. It was heart breaking because no one knew how to cure whatever it was. From that time, I never trained a dog again. My love for dogs was lost in my early 20s, when I was almost bitten by one without any provocation. Disliked them more and feared them when, throughout the years, a good number of family and friends were bitten by their own dogs for no reason at all. Just last month, my special son was bitten by a dog owned by a priest in the church compound just beside our apartment. We learned that dog had previously bitten another boy and until now the priest hasn't done anything with the dog. Now, I really hate dogs.
