A Car By Benny Austria A car is now a necessity. No longer a luxury for many. It gives convenience and safety for travel, short or long distances. The reason why I have this passion for cars especially in maintaining and repairing them. I also operated an auto repair shop for a couple of years in the mid-1980s. A rich friend appreciated my passion for cars. He has a lot of late model cars and luxury ones at that! There was only one time that I serviced his car. Changed a flat tire for him because he did not know then or did not want to, at that time, more than 25 years ago. Puzzled, I asked him then why he did not know anything about cars except to buy and drive them. His answer was simple. He said, "Cars are supposed to be a convenience, so why do I have to inconvenience myself with those car problems?" Rich people have their reasons while the average have their own when it comes to cars. One thing I can say about my passion is, I know how to get out of the "rut" or difficult situations the quickest way. My friend will have to rely on his cellphone and wait to get out of those situations. Contributor's Note My apologies for the initial publication.
